Problems

mp

Milk Production

Milk production problems in cattle arise from a variety of factors that are usually related to health, nutrition, environment, and management practices, all of which can negatively affect a cow’s ability to produce quality milk.

d

Milk Quality

Milk quality problems in cattle not unlike milk production problems might be caused by factors such as health, nutrition and environmental issues.

f

Fertility

Nutritional Deficiencies, Health Issues, Environmental Stress, Management Practices, Genetic Factors and Body Condition can negatively effect a cow’s fertility which is is a crucial factor for the sustainability and profitability of dairy and beef operations.

n

Nutrient & Feeding

Feeding problems in cattle can have significant effects on their health, growth, milk production, and reproductive performance. some common feeding problems include Nutritional Imbalances, Poor Quality Feed and Inadequate Feed Intake.

Tech Problems

Efficiently tracking animal welfare poses significant challenges in the livestock industry. Traditional methods of monitoring cattle, which involve manual checks for signs of illness or harm, requires human resources and is also prone to inaccuracy. One common problem that farmers have on large-scale farms is lameness in cattle which can be caused by a number of things, including physical problems and the incorrect use of concentrate. In addition to lameness, the Body Condition Score (BCS) has recently emerged as an important consideration for farmers. BCS is a numerical score that indicates the amount of body fat a cow has, which is a crucial indicator of its health and productivity.

Our Solution

Milk Production

Our innovation improves milk production by using computer vision and AI to monitor cattle health, specifically detecting issues like lameness and BCS which ensures timely treatment, reducing discomfort and keeping cows more active and productive.

Milk quality

We improve milk quality by using advanced algorithms to monitor cattle health, which ensures cows are well-maintained and free from stress or illness. By detecting issues such as lameness and optimizing Body Condition Score (BCS), the system helps maintain optimal conditions for milk production, leading to higher-quality milk with better consistency and fewer contaminants.

Feeding

Our product enhances feeding efficiency by consistently monitoring cattle health and behavior, allowing for precise assessment of their nutritional needs. By analyzing data on body condition and activity levels, the system helps farmers adjust feeding practices to ensure each cow receives the right balance of nutrients

Fertility

Herdcker improves cattle fertility by analysing health indicators like Body Condition Score (BCS) and stress levels through AI and image processing methods. By ensuring optimal body condition and detecting early signs of health issues, the system helps maintain the cows in peak condition, which is crucial for successful breeding and conception.

More About

Ideation for Herdcker involved envisioning a comprehensive solution to address critical challenges in livestock management through advanced technology. The process began with identifying key issues such as cattle health monitoring, feeding efficiency, and fertility management. By integrating computer vision and AI, the team aimed to create a system that not only detects and analyzes health issues like lameness and Body Condition Score (BCS) but also provides actionable insights for improving overall herd management. This ideation phase focused on leveraging data-driven approaches to enhance productivity, optimize resources, and ensure sustainable and efficient cattle farming practices.
